The peninsula of Ten Mile Point extends on the north side of Cadboro Bay in Victoria, British Columbia. I was exploring a beach access near the far end of the point as early evening fell. The tide was rising and just before it peaked I spotted this log that had been left high and dry on two rocky outcroppings by the previous receding tide. The log was balanced for about another five minutes and then swept away.
