Moss covered rocks lie undisturbed within an flowing stream

Undisturbed Moss

About this Photo

There are quite a few streams that enter the Sooke River near the Sooke Potholes on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I was exploring the area one “west coast winter day” (which is green not white as in many other places in Canada). The stream was dressed in this tapestry of undisturbed green moss that covered the cobble, rocks and boulders along its downhill journey to join the river at the potholes site.
