The sun had already set when I walked out the red Government Wharf at Cowichan Bay, British Columbia. Along the west side of the wharf there are many floating homes that occupy the marina. I had to walk the full length of the wharf, past the wharfinger’s office and the metal dumpster, to find a place to set my tripod with this unobstructed view of these boats at anchor in the evening glow.
