I was visiting Goldstream River near Victoria, British Columbia when I saw these two maple leaves on a rock in the middle of the river. The Maple Leaf has been symbolic for Canada since the 1700s and is featured on our national flag, maple syrup and other iconic Canadian products. I decided to use a fairly slow shutter speed to allow the water to blur slightly and to highlight the leaves.
